Located on the River Ogwen near Bangor in North Wales, Felin Cochwillan is a well-preserved corn mill which was originally part of the Penrhyn Castle estate.

In this 1990 interview, the then owner of the mill, Vernon Barker-Jones (1909-2002), gives us an insight into his work as an engineer, watermill owner, wool weaver and maker of weaving and spinning machines.

Mr Barker-Jones also demonstrates how the looms were operated and how the millstones were hand-cut and balanced.

Shortly after this unique historical film was made, the watermill was sold to Howard and Corrie Hutchinson, whose history of the property is included at the end of the interview.
